You Know You Need A Website, But What Should Be On It?

Take a look around on the internet, and you will see some very interesting ideas of what people put on their websites.  There are some great website designs and content and there are some that leave you scratching your head!  Here are some ideas to help you start thinking about what would be appropriate for your website.

If you are a Doctor, Chiropractor, Dentist, or in the Health Industry, here are some things you might want to include on your site:

  • Your location, a map, hours, and phone numbers
  • What can a patient expect at an initial visit?
  • Pictures of your offices, staff, and products
  • Do you have any specific methods you use?
  • Do you have any products you sell?  Tell what brands and why.
  • What are the most frequently asked questions your front desk personel answer repeatedly?
  • Articles about your industry that have pertinent information for your patients
  • Video - greet patients and welcome them to your offices.  Tell them what kind of an experience you want them to have during their visit and highlight what you have to offer.  Be brief!  30 seconds - 1 minute is preferable.

If you have a Construction Company or Specialize in Roofing or Landscaping, etc.

  • Your contact information
  • Walk customer through a project: customer contacts you, you meet and determine the job, give them a quote, how soon do you start work, what preparations does the customer need to make, etc.
  • Testimonials from customers
  • Pictures of jobs you have done
  • What makes you different from your competition
  • Video - introduce yourself.  Walk customers through the process of hiring you for a project through completion.   Showcase projects you have done.

If you have a Beauty Salon, Massage Therapy, Day Spa:

  • Your location and contact information
  • Hours of operation
  • Map of your location
  • What clients can expect when they visit and how they should prepare
  • List of services and possibly prices
  • Pictures of your salon
  • Pictures of your stylists
  • Information about the products you carry
  • Video - introduce clients to your facility.  You could even have each stylist have their own video telling about their specialty.
